Simon and Paul will present a condensed, high-impact webinar designed to help stay up to date with vital primary care updates. Drawing from CFP Journal and other trusted sources, they’ll cover key guideline changes, new medications, and vaccine recommendations. Practical and relevant, this session is ideal for family doctors and learners across the country.
Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Understand most relevant recent guideline changes for Family Medicine
- List new medications that have been approved and are expecting release soon
- Provide recommendations on new vaccines and changes in treatments

Dr. Simon Moore hates boring lectures. At night, he dreams of new ways to make learning stick—like recruiting his 3 kids to create a medical study guide... disguised as a children’s book. As a former President of Resident Doctors of Canada, founder of The Review Course in Family Medicine, a Physician Lead for UBC Continuing Professional Development, and a Medical Coordinator for Vancouver Coastal Health, you could say he is obsessed with medical education. His Global Health fellowship and clinical practice have taken him across Canada and the world - under the Northern Lights, in Indigenous Health, and Urgent Care. From the clinic to the classrooms to international conference invitations, Dr. Moore is on a mission to make medicine exciting, impactful, and—dare we say—fun.
Dr. Paul Dhillon is a Canadian Armed Forces physician with qualifications in dive medicine, flight medicine, and submarine medicine, currently serving as the 39 Canadian Brigade Group Surgeon. He was the Chief Medical Officer for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, overseeing the coordination of comprehensive medical services for this international adaptive sports event for wounded, injured, and ill service personnel and veterans. Dr. Dhillon is a past board member of the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC) and the editor of The Surprising Lives of Small-Town Doctors, a collection of stories highlighting the unique challenges and rewards of rural medical practice in Canada.
